We’re Liz and Cici, two Mexican-American sisters who share a love of shoes, entrepreneurship, and our unique heritage. When we returned home to visit Mexico a few years ago and saw the beautiful shoes Mexican artisans were able to create by hand, we knew we wanted to support their art and share it with the world. Every pair of SOLS is handmade by expert artisans living in Mexican pueblitos, using weaving techniques and patterns handed down for generations.

We keep in close contact with the 13 talented artisans we partner with, and we are growing every day. Each of them has children, all between the ages of 6 months to 15 years old. The fair-trade wages every SOLS purchase provides allow them to support their families and provide for their basic needs without having to travel far to sell their shoes or take their children out of school to work.

Our mission is to celebrate culture and empower artisans by sharing our culture’s handmade leather huaraches with the world.
