Students come to Wyzant to find tutors by searching the listings, reviewing tutor profiles, and communicating directly with the tutor.

Commission

The commission is a flat $6 for each visitor to the site who sends an email to a tutor. (All Wyzant customers initiate the process of finding a tutor by sending an email through the site.) The email is generally short and to the point, such as:

"Hi, My son is a sophomore and struggling in his geometry class. I'm hoping to line up tutor twice a week in the evenings. Can you help?"

It is not uncommon to have a conversion rate of 10-20% for our PPC campaigns. Also, a commission is paid regardless of whether or not a student begins lessons with a tutor.
